A merit award, named in honor of the UAHF founder, Captain William S. Arnott, will be periodically conferred on an individual who has demonstrated notable work to :
preserve the history of commercial aviation;
educate persons of all ages about the history of commercial aviation;
promote and encourage young men and women to pursue careers in all branches of the aviation field.
